Job Summary:
We are seeking a competent and motivated Equipment Service Department Supervisor to oversee and support the operations of our equipment service department. As the Equipment Service Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, coordinating service activities, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Your role will be instrumental in optimizing service delivery, driving efficiency, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities:

Team Supervision and Leadership:

-Provide direct supervision and guidance to a team of equipment service technicians.
-Assign work tasks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team effectiveness.
-Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.

Service Coordination and Execution:

-Coordinate equipment service activities, ensuring timely response and resolution of service requests.
-Prioritize service assignments based on urgency, customer requirements, and departmental goals.
-Ensure adherence to service procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
-Troubleshoot and resolve complex service issues, escalating as necessary.

Customer Relationship Management:

-Collaborate with customers to understand their service needs, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
-Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and escalations, providing timely and effective solutions.
-Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates on service progress and resolve any issues.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

-Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
-Prepare and present regular reports on service activities, including performance metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
-Implement corrective actions and process enhancements to optimize service efficiency and effectiveness.

Training and Development:

-Assess training needs and facilitate the development of technical and soft skills for service technicians.
-Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of the service team.
-Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in equipment service management.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

-Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of service activities, including service requests, repairs, maintenance records, and customer interactions.
-Maintain organized records of equipment inventory, spare parts, and supplies.

Requirements:

-High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or additional education is a plus.
-Proven experience 5 years in equipment service or maintenance, with a track record of successfully supervising teams.
-In-depth technical knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
-Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of technicians.
-Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions.
-Customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
-Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
-Proficiency in using computer systems and service management software.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
