Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring the optimal functioning of our equipment. The Equipment Service Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

-Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of equipment, including small and large engines as-well as electrical machines.
-Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical problems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
-Replace or repair damaged parts, components, and systems to restore equipment to proper working condition.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

-Identify the root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
-Conduct thorough testing and quality checks post-repair to ensure equipment functionality and safety.

Preventive Maintenance:

-Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and service history for each piece of equipment.

Customer Interaction:

-Interact with clients to understand equipment issues, provide technical guidance, and offer recommendations for optimal equipment usage.
-Communicate service plans, repair estimates, and timelines to clients in a clear and professional manner.

Documentation and Reporting:

-Create detailed service reports outlining diagnostics, repairs performed, parts replaced, and recommendations for future maintenance.
-Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs.

Safety Compliance:

-Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations when performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
-Educate clients and team members on proper equipment usage and safety practices.

Continuous Learning:

-Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in equipment technology, repair techniques, and industry best practices.
-Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

-High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in small engines is a plus.
-Proven experience as an equipment technician or a similar role, with expertise in small/large engines and electrical motors.
-Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
-Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment manuals.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and internal team members.
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet service deadlines.
-Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment, bend, stand, and perform tasks in various conditions.
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
